Schedule your practical test

  1. If your aircraft has only one set of flight controls or brakes, or is experimental, contact me before you proceed.
  2. I operate as a Checkride Checkmate partner. In order to begin the scheduling process, please visit Checkride Checkmate and submit your documents for a comprehensive pilot records review. This will verify all of your documentation is in order and that you are ready to begin the test! After your information has been reviewed by the checkmate team and you have made any necessary corrections, please email me your availability for the next 4 weeks.
  3. Review the most current version of AC 61-65 and ensure your endorsements are correct. If you and your instructor are not sure about an endorsement or flight experience requirement Contact me prior to scheduling.
  4. Once I have all of the information above, I will contact you via phone call, text, or email to schedule your practical test. Please allow 48 hours for me to contact you after sending your email.

For all practical tests, please plan the following cross country

You and a friend are going to a wedding near Kissimmee, FL leaving the day of the practical test. You plan to depart two hours after we begin and return later the same evening after the wedding is over to be at work the next morning. You only need to plan the flight to Kissimmee, not the flight returning.

Use the following data to calculate weight and balance

My weight is 185lbs and I will bring a 5lb flight bag (to be put in the back seat or cargo compartment, whichever you prefer). Please prepare a weight and balance for the flight portion of the practical test. During the ground portion of the test, please be prepared to adjust the weight and balance for a different passenger / cargo load or fuel requirement.
